It seems that bats are often involved in witch lore because of their similarities to witches; their ability of flight, strange appearance, and nocturnal behaviour associates them both with matters close to the veil.
One not so pleasant superstition was that if a bat was spotted flying around a house three times, it meant that someone in that house would soon die. On the other hand, bats are also a symbol of luck and good fortune such as in the Chinese culture.
This little bat is a signed A5 print version of my original coloured pencil drawing and printed on lightly textured 220gsm Tintoretto Gesso paper.
In order to keep your print safe and sound on it's journey to you and ensure it arrives in pristine condition, it will be packaged in a cellophane sleeve for protection and with a backing board for extra rigidity.
